HARRINGTON SUITE OPEN

You will all remember that previously we spoke about the epic cycle journey from Land’s End to John O’Groats Mark Harrington undertook last year to raise funds for Warwick Hospital, who saved his life.  Well, the good news is that the new colorectal nursing unit, now known as the Harrington Suite, is fully open and provides an excellent environment for patients to receive their diagnoses and treatment plans.  Also, it provides a much-improved working space for our hard worked professional staff.  Well done, Mark.

Another landmark was also reached this month in that it is 20 years since Lynn Barber completed the 77 mile Cotswold Way Walk and raised £1500.  Avril Enston (lead colorectal nurse at the time) and Lynn began planning the creation of our ABC Club which, as you know, has been able to help many patients in the years since it began in 2007.

You will enjoy a good chat among friends and share some light refreshments.  Our speakers will be representatives from the NHS TALKING THERAPIES, they help people suffering with anxiety, depression, panic attacks etc..  These are issues a lot of people going through surgery, chemotherapy and other treatments can experience.

Should be a good subject to learn from.  Please come along and support this event.

Car parking in the Aylesford carpark is free but make sure you register your car registration number when you arrive in the Unit.
